SmallWins
This is important in all areas of life – personally, professionally, mentally and physically.
My main focus in this post is professional. It applies to everyone, but especially founders at the start-up or early stages of a business.
We talk enough on Small Win- how complex problems can be easily tackled by breaking these tasks down into smaller, more manageable pieces.
But we don’t talk enough about the Psychological aspect of Small Wins.
When the creation of Bewakoof began, the debut of the brand was at least six months away. The design, fabrication, and packaging all required this lengthy period of gestation.
While Brand Bewakoof was a Work In Progress. We launched a Blog on WordPress named ‘Bewakoof Magazine’. It was a platform for Trendy Viral Content(Before the times of Scoopwhoop). It was a well thought strategy on using content as our Customer Acquisition Engine.
The Indirect Benefit we ended up getting from this content strategy was the Psychological one. Content could be created and posted and measured each single day giving us measurable progress each single day. Our Demand Engine was scaling up each single day even before the launch of the Brand.
We scaled to 10,000 daily traffic which was a big deal back in 2011. 2 of our posts became viral, crossing a million page views.
What could have been a restless long waiting period with occasional Self-Doubt. Became a period of celebrating small successes and the wonderful memories.
While the Startup World has celebrated the importance of Minimal Viable Product(MVP) – Hitting the market with the simplest version of a product that includes only essential features. It’s due time that Small Wins becomes Entrepreneur’s Best Friend.
